This is affirmed to be ye last will and testament of John Mylerea of ye parish of Ballaugh, he being sick & weak in body but of perfect mind & memory, did make his last will & testament in manner following:
First he commended his soul to God, & his body to be interred in a Christian manner.
Item he constituted, and ordained, his beloved wife Jony Mcylerea alias Corlett
sole exr of all his goods moveable & immoveable what so ever.
Lastly he cut & debar all claimers with six pence legacy.
As Witness our names & marks this ye 26 of November 1730.

- Had no surviving children; only relatives his wife’s niece and nephew (Clark)
- Not the son of Thomas Mylrea & Jony Craine, born 1687 because when John’s wife Jony Corlett died 1741, she was described as “old and feeble” – maybe born about 1660-1670? No immediate candidates born in Ballaugh but there was a John, son of Thomas Macylerea/Maccerea born 1674 in Jurby
- A William Mylrea of Jurby married Margaret Clark in 1685 and was having children in the 1690s. This William was probably the son of Thomas Macylevory, and born Jurby 1659. Perhaps this John was younger brother to William, which would make correlate with the mention of niece and nephew Clark
